Poetry

I first got serious as a creative writer by writing poetry in junior high and high school. Poetry was among my primary methods of working through the angst that builds in all teenagers. I continued writing poems here and there as an adult, which presumably means my angst has faded. For some reason, happiness and contentment, while definitely welcome, aren’t as inspiring as depression, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. =-)
