This one raises money to help kids in war-torn Sudan go to school. The organizers hope to raise $35,000 this year. I figured this would be a fun way to kick off my birthday. My legs are feeling really good, my heart and lungs are enjoying the cooler weather, and I look forward to a fun race and (I hope) a good finish time. <\/p>\n<p>Future races I&#8217;m considering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fortworthjinglebellrun.kintera.org\/faf\/home\/default.asp?ievent=423558\" target=\"_blank\">Jingle Bell Run<\/a> in Fort Worth on Dec 4<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.runtherock.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">White Rock Half-Marathon<\/a> in Dallas on Dec 5 (probably not this year, but there&#8217;s a chance)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cowtownmarathon.org\/index.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Cowtown Marathon or 10K<\/a> in Fort Worth on Feb 26-27<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mudquestrun.com\" target=\"_blank\">Mud Quest DFW<\/a> on April 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I signed up for my next race &#8211; the Sudan Footrace in Lewisville on October 23.
