It’s about learning how to think.

Relationships end in three ways: marriage, death, or a breakup. Breakups are by far the most common method. Most combinations of people just aren’t right for each other!

No matter what you believe, there’s always someone who will believe something different, and the other person’s reasons may be just as valid as yours.

The more people you date, the more you will learn about the qualities you like and don’t like in a partner. You’ll also learn more about yourself.

If a girl says she thinks she’s fat, telling her to go to the gym won’t help.

No matter how openminded you think you are, there’s always some part of your mind that is closed off.

You can’t please all the people all the time, so don’t waste your time trying. Your purpose in life is not to make everyone happy.

A mistake is only a failure if you learn nothing from it.

Never trust your academic advisor if you want to graduate on time.

Hiding or lying about what you really think cheats both you and the people you deceive.

Never get an apartment near the person you’re dating or move in together before you get married. Never. I don’t care how in love you are. I don’t care how convenient it would be. I don’t care how cool it would be. Chances are you’ll break up. Once you do, it won’t be fun anymore.

The human brain doesn’t function optimally on the amount of sleep that an average college student gets each night.

Many of the “limits” that we think we have on what we are capable of are self-imposed.

Many people have opinions on who you are and what you should do. Consider them, but in the end you must decide these things for yourself.

Doing a job halfway might get it done, but it won’t be as rewarding as your best effort.

Listen to both your mind and your emotions. Consider both, but trust neither completely.

What you need and what you want are not necessarily the same thing.

Sometimes the right path is the hardest one to follow.

There’s always something more to learn.

Attitude is everything. Any event, any characteristic, any circumstance can be looked at in two ways — how it is harmful and how it is helpful. The lens you choose plays a huge role in your personal happiness.

Quotes from Others

You are neither right nor wrong because the crowd disagrees with you. You are right because your data and reasoning are right. –Warren Buffett

I cannot give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure, which is: Try to please everybody. –Herbert B. Swope

This is the final test of a gentleman; his respect for those who can be of no possible service to him. –William Lyon Phelps

All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. –Edmund Burke, British politician, writer

A laugh can be a very powerful thing.
