World Vision Gift Catalog

Looking for an unusual gift that will make a lasting impact? Instead of buying Dad another tie or Sis another purse, purchase a microloan, pig, or share of a water well in their honor for someone in need. The World Vision Gift Catalog lists dozens of fantastic gifts that can truly make a difference. I’ve gotten lots of great Christmas gifts over the years, and some of my favorites have gone to people I’ve never even met.

World Vision, as most of you probably know, is a Christian organization that invests in poor children and their communities to help them survive, break the cycle of poverty, and learn about Jesus. It’s a great organization doing great work in dozens of countries around the world.

Not coincidentally, a WV catalog gift would be a great way to participate in the Advent Conspiracy movement that I wrote about last year. We sorta missed the boat this year for a variety of reasons, but I still strongly believe in the concept.
